Yesterday I went to visit a friend in Somerset West and as I was leaving I saw a huge pall of smoke. On investigation I found that it was orignating from the Helderberg Nature Reserve. As I had just done a photo shoot I was armed with my camera. They were not allowing anyone into the Nature Reserve as the fire was moving too fast through the reserve, but we were allowed to observe from the gate. Here are a few of my photographs taken through the few hours I spent there.
